Description: The Upper Federally Administered Tribal Area – Livelihood Development Program (Upper FATA LDP) intends to construct the Gandao Dam located across the Gandao Khwar in Mohmand Agency of Pakistan. The Gandao Khwar is the left bank tributary of the Ade zai River. The proposed project includes construction of a concrete gravity dam to create a reservoir of 810 acre feet (AF) capacity, an un-gated spillway within the body of the dam, silting basin for energy dissipation, low level outlet for sediment flushing, suction pipeline for drinking water from reservoir, delivery pipeline, pumps, water treatment plant, water storage tank and main distribution pipelines to Miangon Kelay, Ghalanai and Durba Khel areas. The cost of the project is 309.811 million RS which will be Construction in time of 24 months. The project is funded by USAID.
